How to make an e-Learning project effective?

It is necessary to be clear about the answer to ¿What is e-learning? which is teaching and learning through platforms created on the Internet where anyone from anywhere can access this educational method

E-learning nowadays can be considered as one of the tools for distance study, under the same evaluation characteristics as in face-to-face environments, that is why at this moment we can affirm that its use has transformed a large part of the traditional instruction spaces in virtual training spaces.

However, in order to have these tools and give them a correct destination, it is vital to know how to use them, taking into account that their main objective is oriented towards the creation and management of training spaces on the Internet.

In this sense, in order to create an e-Learning platform that meets the proposed objectives and is effective, a learning design is required to define and plan the performance of all the elements that participate in the didactic relationships, for example, If we refer to an educational platform for universities, we must detail the role of teachers and students, activities to be performed, scenarios and relationships between roles, activities and scenarios, in order to contribute to having a clearer vision of the concepts that they are considered key to understanding the platforms and their use, to mention some of the entities that use this type of platform "Universidad Latina de Panamá", which has virtual classrooms through which teachers and students can maintain contact to make online evaluations, questionnaires, forums, exhibitions, among others.

An effective e-learning is one that manages:

  • Self-taught material: in this point we refer to a learning and not even a repetitive text process.
  • Quality Content: this allows to understand the topics quickly and safely.
  • Incorporate Didactic and Pedagogical Strategies: This with the purpose that you can learn and interact with the platform.
  • Generate interaction among all the actors: Allow us as users to make inquiries, questions and be able to have immediate response.
  • Communication (synchronous) and (asynchronous): we refer to being able to establish questions and answer simultaneously.
  • The evaluation of learning based on new evaluation techniques.
  • The advice can be (On-line) always exchanging knowledge with experts in each of the subjects.
