To conclude this keynote, Alejandro focused on the fact that solutions and improved marketing strategies should be studied and reviewed by data and analytics in order to advance.

When leaving, he left us with this thought:

---------- ![enter image description here](https://cms.rootstack.comhttps://cms.rootstack.com/sites/default/files/blog/img/captura3.jpg) The track of [Dr. Donal Ratliff](http://www2.isye.gatech.edu/~hratliff/), focused on the area of logistics with the theme "How Digital Connectivity and Internet of Things are transforming supply chains and logistics". It was very interesting as it made a summary of the evolution of the sector and the automation to which we have come through the use of technology and tools available, with multiple benefits that go beyond this area, such as:

- Troubleshooting

- The development of standards

- Performance analysis

He concluded that all these advances, in this, and other segments are due to the simple formula:

"Internet + Cloud Computing + The internet of things" ---------------------------------------------------

He also pointed out many of the benefits enjoyed today as end users, thanks to the evolution of the logistics sector and the tools that many companies have at their disposal such as:

- Monitoring vehicles

- Monitoring of shipments (Ex. FedEx)

- Monitoring operators

- Centralized Planning

- Transport (Ex. Uber)

- Facilitate international trade

- Centralize logistics services

The main benefits explained during his lecture based on the logistics sector were:

- Performance Measurement

- Planning

- The control

- Automation

- Optimising

This whole set of benefits and tools, enabling the companies with the right technology to ***take action, plan, anticipate, prevent and resolve.***
